GAUGHAN, Elizabeth M.(Garrity) A lifelong Lexington resident, June 27, 2015. Wife of the late Leo M. Gaughan, Sr. Mother of Karen M. Gaughan of North Chelmsford, Leo M. Gaughan, Jr. and his wife Peggy of Tyngsboro, and the late Kevin C. Gaughan, Kathleen E. Gaughan, and Francis Gaughan. Betty is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Katie Baur, Patrick and Colleen Gaughan, and Elizabeth Anderson. After a brief stint with the Nurse Cadet Corps at the closing of WW II, Betty settled in with Mount Auburn Hospital for most of her 40+ year career as a Registered Nurse. She had a lifelong passion for the arts, reading, bridge, and stayed active through the Boston Sports Club. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON Thursday, July 2 at 9 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10 am.
