Buchanan, Elsa Nilsby (Nilsson) of Lexington, October 28, 2017. Wife of the late Dr. John M. Buchanan. Mother of Claire Buchanan and her husband Stephen Klomparens) of Rockville, MD, Stephen Buchanan and his wife Wendy of Lexington, Lisa Buchanan and her husband Mark Kelley of Boulder, CO, and Peter Buchanan and his wife Helen Soderholm of Burnaby, British Columbia. Elsa is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and by 3 nephews and 1 niece. A private family burial service will be held at Westview Cemetery in Lexington. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon St. Watertown, MA 02472.
