Maleyeff, Emily (Kenney) 58, passed unexpectedly on January 8, 2017 while vacationing in Beijing.  Emily grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts and lived in Boston, after previously living in Suffield, CT, Longmeadow, MA, and Yardley, PA.  Emily was a committed friend and loving family member.  Her sense of humor and smile were contagious.  Her kindness touched everyone in her life, all of whom are devastated by her loss. Memories of her as a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend will be forever cherished.  Emily held degrees from Smith College and the University of Massachusetts, and she was a skilled computer programmer who consulted and worked for many companies.  But her prevailing legacy will be her faithfulness to her children, whom she nurtured as youngsters and admired as adults.  Emily is survived by her husband of 33 years, John Maleyeff; two children, Alex and Lara; brother Phil Kenney and his wife Monique Kenney of Melrose, MA; brother Steven Kenney of Waltham, MA; and her nieces and nephews – Jeremy Kelly, Amanda Harth, Jason Kelly, Christopher Ryan, Katrina Kelly, Caitlin Kenney and Elizabeth Kenney. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Monday January 30 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass  at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday from 3pm to 7pm.  Memorial donations may be made in Emily's memory to the Red Sox Foundation. Interment private.
