Ernest Fredrick Minks passed away peacefully, surrounded by friends and family, on January 18, 2025, at the age of 54. Ernest was born in Taipei, Taiwan on July 9, 1970, to Chee "Kelly" and Orlin "George" Minks, and grew up in Greenland, NH. He was an exceptionally hard worker, witty, level-headed, and considerate. He had an infectious smile and a wonderful laugh, as well as an incredible memory. One of his proudest moments was seeing his daughter graduate from college in 2024.

Ernest had a lifelong passion for music, film, television, and puzzles; he also enjoyed cooking, barbecuing, travel, and watching sports with friends. Faith was always important to him and two years ago, Ernest was confirmed as a Catholic. Above all else, Ernest valued family and friends, and was happiest when he was spending time with them. He enjoyed entertaining loved ones for dinners, Christmas parties, poker nights, and book club. He was a loving father and husband, and an incredible friend.

Ernest is survived by his wife of 27 years, Anna; his daughter, Madeleine; his mother, Kelly; his brother, John; his sister-in-law, Nadya; and his niece, Elena. A wake will be held on Sunday, January 26 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, MA. The funeral will be held on Monday, January 27 at 11:00 am at St. Brigid Parish, 1981 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Brigid Parish.
