Fabiano Arena, age 103, of Lexington, formerly of Billerica, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025.

Fabiano was born in Castanea, Sicily, the son of the late Placido Arena and Maria Sarao.  More than 70 years ago, he immigrated to the United States after World War II in pursuit of the American dream—a dream he realized through hard work, resilience, and devotion to his family.

He began his life in America as a shoemaker and later became a machinist at W.R. Grace. Through dedication and perseverance, he built a better life for those he loved, always guided by humility and strength.

Fabiano is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Nives; his devoted daughter, Diana Arena; his son-in-law, Kevin Ray; and his cherished grandchildren, Liam and Sean Ray. He was a dear brother to the late Francesca Sorrentini and Giovanni Arena.

Fabiano's deep sense of family extended to all who knew him. He found joy in life's simple pleasures—playing cards with Nives, dancing, and preparing unforgettable meals in the kitchen, where his culinary talent brought people together.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the PACE program and Regal Care /Courtyard Nursing Home for their compassionate support during Fabiano's final days.
