Dr. Felisa Y. Siy-Wan, 83, a pediatrician who cared for patients for almost 45 years, passed away Monday March 25, 2024 with her family by her side. Dr. Siy was a warm, loving, generous pediatrician. She was known to charge struggling patients only what they could afford and to waive medical fees, especially for patients involved in ministry. Originally from Fujien, China, her parents Ramon Huat Siy and Sick Lian Yu immigrated to the Philippines.  Felisa was born on August 1, 1940 in Manila. In 1966, she graduated from University of Santo Tomas Medical School.  In 1968, she came to the United States.  Later, she interned at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital and continued there as a licensed pediatrician.  In 1988, she opened a private practice in Weymouth and served her patients from there and the South Shore Hospital until the age of 77.

Felisa Y. Siy married Leonard Wan in 1973. They had one daughter, Jennifer.  When not working, Felisa enjoyed her family and church life.  She was an active participant of the Chinese Bible Church of Greater Boston and a member of Grace Chapel; she was involved in ministries like her CBCGB bible study, EPIC, Maps and Joy Women's Ministries. Felisa Y. Siy-Wan is survived by her husband Leonard Wan, daughter Jennifer Grace Wan, brothers Tony Siy, Albert Siy, Mariano Siy and sister Clarita Limsenben. A memorial service will be held at Grace Chapel Lexington with interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury. Donations made in her memory should be made to Boston Trinity Academy.
