Florence A.
Masci
d. Aug 22, 2025
Florence "Flo" Masci, lovingly known by family as "Fluff", was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and generous friend. She lived life to the fullest and was an inspiration to all who met her. She was 104 years young.
Born in Somerville to Salvatore and Maria Gracia Capobianco, Florence was the beloved sister of the late Mary Gambale, Anthony Capobianco and Joseph Capobianco. In 1941 Florence married the love of her life, Saturno "Sam" Masci. They shared nearly sixty wonderful years together and raised five children. She leaves behind Carol and her husband, Roger Flores; Bob and his wife, Arleen; Eileen and her husband, John Cronin; Kathleen; and Rick and his wife, Claire.
She cherished her eight grandchildren: Roger and Lynda, Sharon and Erik, Kayla and KC, and Rob and Christine. She was blessed with nine great grandchildren: Allison, Christopher, Roger Andrew, Isabelle, Jackson, Ryan, Madelyn, Nathan, and Landon. Florence was also a devoted aunt to many Capobianco, Gambale, and Masci nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Florence worked as an administrative secretary for the federal government where judges relied on her meticulous organization and attention to detail. Flo was also known for her impeccable memory – she never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or special life milestone. Her greatest joy was found on roller skates, where she gracefully circled the floor until the age of ninety-five.
Florence enjoyed a life well-lived. Her family was her greatest joy, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Funeral services will be held at St. Malachy Church, Burlington on August 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford. Visitation prior to the services will be held at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, from 8:30 to 9:30. Donations in Florence's memory can be made to Compassus Hospice of North Andover or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
