Torresyap, Fortunato C.  "Dr. Torrey" of Arlington, MA passed away in the company of his loving children on January 24, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Pearl C. Torresyap. Dear father to daughters Joy, Gay, and Fay, and son-in-laws, John Oakes and John Schuyler. Loving brother to Paterno Torresyap and Juanita Vargas.  Dr. Torresyap was a dedicated and talented surgeon, retired from the Surgical Associates of Somerville Hospital. He was loved by everyone who had the good fortune to meet him. Fortunato will be remembered by his closest friends as a gentleman with a great sense of humor and a talent for music and dancing. He was a volunteer at the Museum of Science for many years. Born in the Philippines, he moved to the USA in the 1950's. He was very proud to be an American citizen.

Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Saturday February 3 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Eulalia Church, 50 Ridge St. Winchester at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday February 2 from 4pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to "Massachusetts Medical Society and Alliance Charitable Foundation", 860 Winter St, Waltham.
