Cummings, Francis F. of Lexington, February 3, 2025. Husband of Carol A. Cummings (Flynn) for 64 years. Father of Kevin Cummings and his wife Jeanne of Medford, Patricia Shelmire and her husband Robert of Bedford, and Kathleen Kiernan and her husband Matthew of Waltham. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Jessica, Erin, Cameron, Kara, Kaitlyn, Riley, and Colin.

A U.S Army veteran, Fran worked at Boston Edison for nearly 40 years. He was a proud member and former president of the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials Board 27, officiating Massachusetts high school basketball for over 40 years. Fran was also a member of the Massachusetts Track & Field Officials Association.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held St. Brigid Church, 1984 Mass. Ave., Lexington Friday February 7 at 11am. Visitation at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington immediately prior to the Mass from 9am to 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in his memory may be made to the Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation-Bay State Games at Bay State Games 55 Sixth Rd Woburn, MA 01801. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
