Garrett, Frederick William, 81, died Saturday, October 2, 2010 in Palm Harbor, Florida after a long illness. Mr. Garrett was the third of ten children born to Raymond and Anastasia Garrett of Revere, MA. Mr. Garrett is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Norma E. King, his parents, sister Rita and brothers Austin, Harold, and Melvin. He leaves his two daughters, Susan Noel and Kathryn LeBlanc, son-in-laws Roger Noel and Norman LeBlanc, granddaughters, Lauren LeBlanc Mead and Cara LeBlanc. He is further survived by sisters Marion Maniff, Stella Pierce, Jean Flight, brother Stephen Garrett and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Garrett worked as a Plant Engineer for New England Nuclear Corporation and E.I. Dupont de Nemours until his retirement in 1984. He later moved to Florida where he was active in his church, the Kirk of Dunedin. He will greatly be missed by his family and everyone who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 8, 2010, at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Rd. in Lexington at 1:30pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to atttend. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the National Arthritis Foundation. Private interment Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford.
