Ganeswary (Ganesh) Panchalingam of Medford, Massachusetts, USA passed away peacefully on May 16th, 2023. Ganesh was the beloved wife of the late Muttiah Panchalingam (former District Secretary & GA Jaffna); devoted mother of Dr. Geethanjali Mathiyalakan and Krishnanchali Panchalingam; mother-in-law of Dr. Sathasivam Mathiyalakan and Dr. Noel Casey; and loving grandmother of Varahunan Mathiyalakan and Vaikunthan Mathiyalakan.

Ganesh was a dedicated teacher and taught at Jaffna College, Kokuvil Hindu College, and Medford High School.  She had a green thumb and passion for gardening and flower arranging.

The Viewing will be on Sunday May 21st, 2023, between 3 PM and 6 PM at Douglas Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, MA.

Religious rites will be performed between 8.45 AM and 10.00 AM on Monday May 22nd, 2023, at Douglas Funeral Home.  Cremation services will be held at Mount Auburn Cemetery (580 Mt Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge) at 11.00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Greater Boston Food Bank.
