Murphy, Gary William, of SC, March 21, 1951 - December 1, 2013. Husband of Kitzi Murphy. Son of the late James and Grace Murphy formerly of Lexington. Father of James Murphy of San Francisco, Lieutenant Commander Patrick Murphy and Susan Murphy of Memphis, TN, and Meaghan Murphy of Lexington. He is also survived by his sisters Carol and Susan, and brother Peter. Gary graduated from LHS, class of 1969 and graduated from University of Notre Dame in 1973. Owner of James F. Murphy Inc. A memorial service will be held Saturday Dec. 28 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington at 12pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
