With great sorrow, we announce the passing of our precious father, Genio Rocco Arciprete, a resident of Belmont, formerly of Lexington, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 9, 2025, at the age of 96.

Born on May 25, 1929, in Cambridge to Genio Dell Arciprete and Louise Arciprete (Marella), Genio was raised in Quincy. After graduating from North Quincy High School in 1946, he enlisted in the US Navy, serving as a radar technician on the USS Yosemite based in Newport, Rhode Island. Genio met the love of his life, Cora Gaziano, and they married while he was studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He graduated with a degree in electrical engineering. Genio dedicated many years of his career to Arthur D. Little as a distinguished consultant, working with companies across the globe, as well as government agencies, leaving a lasting impact through his innovative contributions. He cherished the time he spent during summers on Cape Cod in Cotuit with his family. Genio always had a project around the house to work on and always helped his family directly or through his advice, even at the age of 96. Genio was independent, active and productive to his last days. He was a proud Italian-American with a strong work ethic and family values which were evident throughout his life. Genio followed the Boston sports teams very closely, especially in his later years, and always kept up with news and events both in the United States and the world.

Genio was predeceased by his beloved wife, Cora Arciprete; his brother, Richard Arciprete, of Natick; and his sister, Rosemarie Mahoney, of Quincy. Genio is survived by his loving family:  his eldest son, John Arciprete, and his wife, Jeanette, of Belmont; his daughter, Louise Bentley, and her husband, Peter, of Marstons Mills; his youngest son, Charlie Arciprete, and his wife, Tricia, of Lexington; and his dear sister, Louise Brown, of Abington.

After the loss of his beloved wife Cora, he married Yolande Arciprete who predeceased him, and is survived by her family:  her son, Marc Baldwin, and Carole Andreotti of Everett; her son, Joseph Baldwin, and Jennifer of Belmont; her daughter, Monique Levenson, and her husband, Andrew, of Bedford; and her son David Baldwin, and his wife, Annmarie, of Brookline.

He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cherished friends who all will fondly remember his warmth and wisdom.

Genio's deep love for his family was evident in all that he did; and his legacy of intellect, kindness, and family devotion will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him. Although his family is heartbroken by his loss, we feel grateful for all the blessings he brought into our lives.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to greet the family during visiting hours, Sunday, July 13, 3-7 PM, at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington. Procession from Douglass Funeral Home at 9 AM on Monday, July 14, prior to the Funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. Brigid's Church, 2001 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington. Burial in the Cambridge Cemetery.
