On Friday, July 1 ^st , 2022, George E. Moyseowicz, a retired doctor, loving husband, father and long-time resident of Lexington, Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly at the age of 93.

George is survived by his beloved wife, Ursula Moyseowicz (Rynkowska); his two sons, Adam and Roman Moyseowicz; daughter-in-law Tracy Moyseowicz and beautiful granddaughters Parker and Kennedy Moyseowicz.

George was born in Krosno, Poland on February 16 ^th , 1929 to Roman and Eugenia Moyseowicz . He graduated Medical School in Szczecin, Poland (1952), with a specialty in Pediatrics.  George practiced medicine in Poland and Vienna between 1953-1980, and then worked in various psychiatric hospitals from 1980-2001 following his immigration to the United States.

George was a devoted father, talented pianist, avid reader and gifted storyteller.  He enjoyed travelling the world, making annual trips back to Poland until as recently as four years ago.  He was fiercely loyal and valued his many strong friendships with individuals across the globe.  From fellow medical school classmates abroad, to his neighbors in Lexington, George made friends wherever he went, thanks to his outgoing spirit, intellect and contagious laugh.

George was a patient teacher and spent countless hours sharing his love for music with his children, teaching them how to play the piano from an early age.  For years, he would sit patiently with his children supporting them through their daily piano practices, weekly lessons and annual concerts.  When he was not otherwise immersed in playing or listening to music, there was a strong chance you would find him with a book in his hand.  Until his last day, he was a voracious reader with a hunger for knowledge that could only be matched by the love he held for his family.  George valued his family and friends more than anything in the world, and this is one of the many reasons he will be so sorely missed by all who knew him.  We love you George and miss you more than words can express.  You will remain in our hearts and memories until we are reunited again in heaven.

A private service will be held for immediate family at the Douglass Funeral home in Lexington, Massachusetts, followed by an interment in the family plot at St. Jadwiga Cemetery in Milanowek, Poland.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks that if you are so moved, a donation in his name can be made to the American Red Cross.  This is an organization which he cared passionately about, and one which played a crucial role in his life during his formative years in Poland.
