STEVENS, George Albert Of Longboat Key, FL and formerly of Lexington, MA, died suddenly September 3, 2012 in Sarasota, FL. He was born in Detroit, MI, January 31, 1928, the eldest son of Dr. Amos Stevens and Julia Stevens (Currier). He was raised in Clarksville and Fairmont, WV, and spent his high school years in his beloved Tarpon Springs, FL. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dolores Stevens of Longboat Key, son Andrew Stevens and his wife Anne of Gloucester, MA, daughter Linda Stevens and her husband Joseph Artley of Cambridge, MA, daughter Elizabeth Kempey and her husband William of Hoboken, NJ, his grandchildren Julianna and Carson Stevens and brother David Stevens and his wife Marilyn of Port Washington, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Margaret Lois (Moran), his son Charles and brother Edward. He leaves many nieces and nephews and friends. A private family Mass was said at St. George Orthodox Cathedral on Monday September Tenth, 2012. His dry humor, love of movies, and general kindness will be missed. Former Pharmaceutical Executive, Venture Capitalist and entrepeneur, he was a member of the Harvard College Class of 1949 and passed the Massachusetts Bar exam in 1957.
