Father of Patricia Mary Dinneen and her husband Dr. John Mooney of Belmont, Barbara Dinneen Sehr and her husband Timothy of Kokomo, Indiana, and Dr. Michael Paul Dinneen and his wife Patricia of Rockville, MD. Gerry is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Catherine, Stephen, Andrea, and Jessica, and by many nieces and nephews and by his brother, David Dinneen and 2 sisters-in-law, Joan Davenport and Joan Dinneen. WWII Army Air Corps Veteran; Director of MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Professor of Electrical Engineering at MIT, Assistant Secretary of Defense under President Jimmy Carter, Chief Scientist Honeywell, Foreign Secretary National Academy of Engineering, Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering, Ph.D. University of Wisconsin, B.A. Queens College. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 9 at St. Peter Church, 100 Concord Ave. in Cambridge at 10am. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
