Harriet Lovitt Damm, 100, of Lexington, Massachusetts, died peacefully on November 29, 2015. She is survived by: Amelia Damm Johnson (and son-in-law Harvey Johnson) of St. Joseph, Michigan, Frederick Russell Damm (and daughter-in-law Shelia) of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, and David Lloyd Damm-Luhr (and daughter-in-law Ingeborg) of Brookline, Massachusetts, as well as grandchildren Harvey, Jordan, Tobias, Ian, and Molly, and great-grandchildren Hilary, Emily, Ava, Ella, Larkin and Jack. Grandchildren David and Sarah predeceased her.



A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Ms. Damm studied and practiced art from age 15 until her mid-90's. Ms. Damm exhibited her work in Tennessee, Michigan, New York, Arizona, Florida and Massachusetts, as well as in Positano (where she lived joyfully for 13 years), Naples and Rome, Italy, and online. She expressed her love of color and light in a variety of media including oils, watercolors and lithographs. Her works are in private collections around the world.



In addition to being part of Lexington and Concord Art Associations, Ms. Damm was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Concord, Massachusetts. For many years, she was also active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Muskegon, Michigan, as well as St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Easthampton, New York. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 81 Elm St. in Concord on Tuesday December 29th at 3pm.
