KRITSICK, Harriet (Stock) Age 90, of Marlborough, formerly of Lexington and Waltham, on April 29. Beloved wife of the late Leo William Kritsick. Cherished mother of Charlotte K. Bahn, and her husband Stephen of Bolton, and Marcy Lomen and the late Howard of Westford, the late Stephen M. Kritsick and his partner Artie Campbell. Treasured Nana of Allie and Lauren Bahn, Erik Lomen and his wife Kathleen. Devoted sister of the late Winona Withycombe. Dear friend of the late Richard McCoy. Harriet was matriarch extraordinaire. This role was her greatest joy in life. Time with her family was sacred beyond all other pursuits. She was a talented cook, baker and gardener. She loved playing the piano. No day was started without full makeup, Chico's attire and her colorful jewelry. She maintained this style until two days ago. Harriet spent her childhood summers on the Cape, and instilled a love for the ocean in both her children and her grandchildren. Harriet loved to speak of her New York runway modeling during the 1940s. She took great pleasure in sharing her "portfolio". In later years she worked as an editorial assistant for Ginn Publishing. She loved her work and made lifelong friendships there. In fact, she made new friends everywhere. Her Christmas card list grew each year as she and Leo traveled the world and gained countless friendships. Harriet spent her retirement years volunteering for the Lexington Historical Society. She was a passionate reader and Cary Memorial Library was a second home for her. To the very end, books surrounded her. Despite years of physical challenges and chronic pain, she always had a ready smile and a kind word. Harriet's family is so grateful to her caregivers over the last decade. Especially Marla and Cathy her visiting nurses, and Laurie and Joanna at the Brigham & Womens Wound Clinic. In these last few weeks, for the kindness of the Coleman House staff and the Jewish Healthcare Hospice. Also, the special friendship of Rita and Judy as well as Jackie for all the wonderful mail.
