Kitfield, H. Robert (Bob) of Lexington, passed away on January 18, 2022 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of Norma (Lipman) Kitfield; they would have celebrated their 70th anniversary on Feb. 17th. Loving father of Susan Slark and her husband Sid of Manchester, NH, Robert Kitfield of Hyde Park, and the late Edward Kitfield. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Christopher Slark and Jeffrey Slark.

He was the Brother-in-law of Marsha Mohan and her husband Barry of Lexington, and he had many nieces and nephews.

Bob entered the U.S. Navy at age 17 and served in WWII. Following the War he entered Suffolk University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. He was an Auditor with Royal Insurance for many years.

Bob will be lovingly remembered for his quick wit and generosity and his "always ready to lend a hand" attitude. He was a tinkerer who was often found fixing things, building small tables, or gardening. Bob especially loved spending time with his family at his second home in Barnstead, NH, and boating on Suncook Lake. Happy Hour on the deck with family and lake neighbors was one of his favorite pastimes.

A private Graveside Service will be held at Westview Cemetery in Lexington. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
