IPPOLITO, Helen M. Of Bedford, formerly of Lexington, passed away peacefully Jan. 6, 2010, surrounded by family after a long illness. Wife of 46 years of the late Vincent O. Ippolito. Mother of Michele I. Karlberg and her husband Jeffrey of Andover, Christine I. Hussey and her husband Robert of Bedford, and Tara M. Spagnoletti and her husband Nicholas of Madison, NJ. Sister-in-law of Claire Scully of Woburn and Lola Ippolito of Medford. Also survived by 9 grandchildren. Mrs. Ippolito was born April 6, 1933 to Francis and Margaret Scully of Medford. She attended Matignon High School and went on to graduate from Regis College with a Bachelor of Arts. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Helen was also an active volunteer at Sacred Heart Parish in Lexington. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. LEXINGTON, Saturday Jan. 9 at 9am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Sacred Heart Church, Lexington, at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 PM.
