SLISKI, Helen A. (Zukas) of Westford, formerly of Lexington, Somerville and Cambridge, passed away on January 12, 2022 following a period of declining health.  Beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Sliski with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.  Beloved mother of Daniel Somers and his wife Debbie of Westford, MA, Ann Sliski Mark and her husband George of Wrightstown, PA and Alan Sliski and his wife Susan of Lincoln, MA.  She also leaves five grandchildren, Laura, Paul, Alex, David, and Aaron and a great granddaughter, Victoria, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Helen is survived by her sisters Anna Zukas of Cambridge, MA and Dorothy Carter of Denver, NC.

Helen met her future husband, Daniel on a local Cambridge baseball field.  When Daniel joined the Marines in WWII, they continued corresponding and fell in love. Helen was a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin and had an early career with the Cambridge Savings bank, then devoted herself to raising her family and building a home in Lexington, MA.  She and her husband chose a lot of land in Lexington on a dirt road called Winter Street.  When the road was reconfigured and renamed, she drew on the brave volunteer spirit of the Minutemen and suggested it be named Volunteer Way which Lexington approved.  She loved family celebrations, many friends and her hobbies such as painting with Lillian Whitman.  Helen worked as an Avon lady, a researcher for a land surveyor, a corporate librarian for ENSR International in Acton, and many years as a sales associate at Jordan Marsh in the Burlington Mall.  She volunteered often at the Dana Home in Lexington.  Helen was a member of Grace Chapel and loved being part of their choir.

Helen will be remembered for her kind heart, generous nature and love for her family and friends.
