Damascus, Hope Victoria, of Belmont, after a long illness, June 24, 2016. Cherished daughter of Louise Damascus (Senopoulos) of Belmont and loving daughter of the late John Damascus. Beloved niece of many deceased aunts and uncles. 1964 Graduate of St. Anne's High School, Arlington. Hope was an voracious reader, gardener, and a lover of animals. She worked for the Newton Public Library for 30 years. Hope enjoyed many Summers with her many adoring cousins and friends on Cape Cod. A funeral service will be celebrated Monday June 27 at St. Athanasius The Great Greek Orthodox Church, Arlington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, June 26 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington from 4pm to 7pm.
