Hope Place, of Lexington, died on July 26, 2021, age 97. Born and raised in Somerville, MA, a graduate of Boston University and Librarian at the Tewksbury High School until retirement. She received the Lifetime Volunteerism Award from the Town of Lexington for more than two decades of service. The wife of the late William T. Place, she will be missed by her daughter Nancy, sons Thomas and Dennis, and her grandson Corey. Private burial in the family plot at Westview Cemetery, Lexington. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lexington Historical Society.
