Obituary

Jack Woodrow Ferber II, 77, of Lexington, formerly of Washington, DC, Valley Lee, MD and Arcadia, FL. passed away January 4, 2016 at home with family.
He was the beloved husband for over 54 years of wife Joan Lynne (Gallagher) Ferber. Besides his wife, he is also survived by his daughters, Jacquelyn Jenkins and her husband Bobby of Valley Lee, MD, Joanne Dillow and her husband Mark of California, MD, Mary Feeley and her partner Richard McGarry of Lexington, and Sarah Cromwell of Arcadia, FL. and sisters, Dianne Shisler of Waldorf, MD and Dorothy Walker of Olney, MD. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Washington, DC and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the 1950s/1960s as a Gunner's Mate. He worked, as his father did, for the C&P Telephone company as a Cable Splicer and also followed his love of the land and worked as a professional farmer in Valley Lee, MD. A Navy honored Military graveside service will be held Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue in Bourne, MA at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
