Jack L. Manes, Jr., 85, died at home in Lexington after a lengthy illness on Sunday, September 10, 2023, surrounded by love. He is survived by Jonna Manes, his beloved wife of 40 years, three daughters and a son and their spouses/partners, four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Jack lived a full and joyous life, and he took great pleasure connecting with people he met and mentored along the way. He began his career in Human Resources and rose to executive roles in major corporations. After retiring, he built a successful management consulting practice that provided meaning and satisfaction for 15 years, as he coached individuals and teams how to improve performance. He was a master of the art of possibility thinking. He enabled dozens of people to launch or reset their careers, and he encouraged everyone he knew to seize opportunities to become their best selves.

As his health deteriorated, he came to believe, as Scripture has it, that "my life is already being poured out as libation, and the time has come for me to be gone. I believe I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish; I have kept the faith." His was a life well lived.
