James Dennis Mahoney, Sr., 85, passed away on January 23rd, 2018. Jim is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Rustica C. Delumpa, M.D., and his children James D. Mahoney, Jr. (Lisa) and their children Jeff and Brenna; Robert Mahoney and his children Shawn, Mark, and Brian; Beth Latsey (Andy) and their daughter Brittany; his step-children Maggie Sullivan (Jim) and their children James, Tori, and Kate; Dr. Vincent Delumpa (Dr. Amy) and their children Nathaniel, Chloe, Noah, Christian, Adam, and Noelle; Dr. Bernadette Delumpa and her children Jordan, Jared, and Juliette; Connie Hazlett (Ames) and their children Kenna, Adler, Caleb and Brea; his great-grandchildren Diesel, Cash, Penelope, Fiona, Adelyn and Hailey, and many nieces and nephews.

Jim served in the Marines after graduating high school in Lexington, Massachusetts. He went on to start his own Landscape architect business which he did until he retired. He was very proud of his more than 30 years of sobriety and was a sponsor to many. He loved to travel the world, cruise the ocean, and spend time with his family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 14 ^th 10 a.m. at Douglass Funeral Home in Lexington Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
