James X. Saunders, formerly of Lexington, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2022 surrounded by his family and loved ones. Loving husband of 65 years to beloved wife Alice C. Saunders(Walsh). Son of the late James Patrick and Ora Mary. Brother of Anne T. Connolly. Father of Kathryn A. Bartolotti and her husband Joseph,  Ellen M. Davis, James R. Saunders, Carol S. Curley and her husband Chris, Debbie L. Molis and her husband Joseph, John P. Saunders and his wife Kimberly and nephew Joseph R. Moran and his wife Tammy.  Devoted grandfather to Stephen, Michael, Kim, Mandy, Paul, Allison, Thomas, Samantha, Meghan, Joey, Shannon, Liam, Owen, Lindsay, Will and Cate.  Great Grandfather to Dylan, Sabrina, Kelly, Lilah and Blake. Uncle to Susan, Patricia, Kathleen and Theresa.

James, known to those close to him as Jimmy, was a graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Class of 1956.  His career spanned 44 years, the majority of which were spent in the town he loved, Lincoln, Ma.  He was loved and admired by many throughout his years as partner and Owner of Three S Pharmacy with Carmin Spiro and Richard Samson.

Jimmy was a passionate Boston sports fan and in his retirement years enjoyed early morning walks, playing golf, and supporting the YD Red Sox.  Mostly, he enjoyed his time on Cape Cod with his loving wife Alice, his kids and Grandkids.  He will be missed by all those who knew him.

Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Tuesday March 22 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid church, Lexington at 1oam. Visiting hours Monday from 4pm to 8pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
