James (Jim) John Wells, Jr., 66, of Woburn, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.
Born May 20, 1948, in Everett, he was the son of the late James John Wells, Sr. and the late Mary (Kerr) Wells.
Jim was well known for his love for his country. He was a U.S. Korean War Veteran who served in the Army for nine years before being honorably discharged. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and friends.
Jim was the beloved husband of Frieda (Lauth) Wells for 28 years.
He is also survived by three step-sons, Michael Stewart and his wife Paula of Tewksbury; Eric Stewart and his wife Gail of Falmouth; Kevin Stewart and his wife Loren of Tewksbury; his brother Ronald Wells and wife Valerie of Florida; his sister Carole Miller and husband Fred of PA; 9 step-grandchildren; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 21st at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington from 5pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made in Jim's name to the National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Private internment is scheduled at the Massachusetts National Cemetary in Bourne, MA.
