Jane P. Buckley, daughter of Frank and Eleanor (ne. Wilkie) Wentworth, passed on 1/27/2024, age 91.  She grew up in Dorchester and lived 71 years in Lexington.  She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, James Joseph Buckley and siblings, Elynor Renshaw, Frank, Paul, and Nancy Wentworth.  Her loss will be deeply felt by her daughter Jackie Buckley and spouse Dawn Ridge and son Jeff Buckley.  As well as her grandchildren Courtney Buckley, Kyle Buckley, Kelsie O'Brian, Justin Buckley, Cassandra Buckridge, Forrest & Ginger Roy, Terra Buckridge, Autumn Buckridge, Ted Bollinger, Jon Buckridge Ares and Jane Buckridge Hernandez-Ferrer.  Jane was also dearly loved by her Great Grandchildren Noah Buckridge Willis and Jacob Gautreau, Kes, Kaymin, Kaion and Kyperion Roy, Savannah Bayer and Logan Bazzell, Teddy Bollinger, Jeffrey Hastings, Estella Hernandez Ferrer, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Jane graduated from Dorchester High School & Boston Business School.  She graduated from Regis College with a BA in English Literature at the age of 70 fulfilling her life-long dream of completing college.  She served in Lexington Town Meeting as a Precinct 9 Representative for over 20 years and campaigned vigorously to ensure the historic town of Lexington retained its quality of life through preservation of numerous parcels of conservation land. She is fondly remembered by her neighbors for her daily 2-3 mile walks in all weather, and greeting everyone and their pets with cheer.  She will be remembered by all for her kindness with a Mass at St. Brigid's in Lexington on Saturday, Feb 10 at 10 AM followed by a collation.  In lieu of flowers contributions in her name may be sent to https://www.jimmyfund.org
