CRAWFORD, Jane Tibbetts
Of Lexington, died peacefully at Emerson Hospital on February 27, 2015 after several days surrounded by her loving family. Elder daughter of John B. and Margaret Tibbetts, she was born in Hindhead, England in 1933. She had an international childhood, living in Japan, Canada, and Brazil before settling in Ridgewood, New Jersey for high school and graduating from Wells College in upstate New York. In 1958, she married Bard Crawford, her devoted husband for 57 years. Together, they settled in Lexington, Massachusetts, where she became a prominent real estate broker, known for her loyalty, enthusiasm and integrity. She was also active in local school affairs, and was a passionate supporter of the performing arts in the Lexington Public Schools. She is survived by her husband Bard of Carleton Willard Village in Bedford, MA, four children: John of Arlington, MA, Jennifer of Plymouth, MA, James of Dallas, TX and Scott of Loughton, England, five grandchildren and her sister Wendy Greene of Greensboro, NC. A private burial was held in Chatham, MA. A memorial service will be held on April 4th at 11:00 at Follen Church, 755 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or the charity of your choice.
