Jane Campbell Franks passed away in Lexington, MA on May 22, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Peter J. Franks, son Andrew C. Franks and his wife Sara of Lexington, daughter Meredith C. Franks of Lexington, brother Arnold Campbell and his wife Martha of Venice, Florida, sisters Andrea Campbell of Lexington and Mary Ellen DiLiddo of Worcester and brother-in-law Charles Franks of Chelmsford. Jane spent her childhood in Litchfield, NH, lived for most of her life in Lexington, MA, and has spent the last 8 years living in Philadelphia, PA.

Jane was a graduate of Northeastern University where she was part of the first class to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1971 receiving honors as summa cum laude. She also received her Masters of Business Administration from Northeastern in 1997. She maintained lifelong ties to Northeastern, including serving as the first female President of the Alumni Association. Jane dedicated her career and life to helping others as a nurse administrator at Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Newton-Wellsley Hospital, the Lexington Public Schools, and finally as the Associate Director at Drexel University's 11th Street Family Clinic in Philadelphia where a room will be dedicated in her honor by President John Fry on June 6th. In addition to her dedication to her family and her profession, Jane had a passion for travel. She enjoyed the opportunity to expand her understanding of other places and cultures through trips with her husband to many parts of the globe. Jane will be greatly missed by her family and friends in Lexington, Philadelphia, and around the world.
