Jean (John) Lambert Dirks, husband of the late Tina Dirks, died peacefully on August 16, 2022 at the age of 87.  He is survived by his sons Patrick, Marco, and David, their wives Mindy, Holly, and Katy, and grandchildren Jonah, Eli, Isabel, Claire, and Henry.  Born in Luik, Belgium on June 25, 1935, he lived in Lexington since 1976.

His greatest joy in life was his marriage to Tina.  Together they nurtured many lifelong friendships and shared numerous adventures.  He traveled the world throughout his long career with Polaroid.  Having excelled at languages in his business studies at Nyenrode University in the Netherlands he relished learning additional ones as he traveled to new countries.  Invariably cheerful, he was always grateful for the life he lived.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, at 10AM at Saint Brigid Church in Lexington.  Burial immediately following at Westview Cemetery, Lexington.  Those who would like to pay their condolences are warmly invited to his Lexington home on Sunday, August 21, 5-7PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John and Tina Dirks may be made to the Leukemia Fund at Dana Farber Cancer Institute through www. dana-farber.org/give .  Douglass Funeral Home Lexington, 781-862-1800 www.douglassfh.com .  "Keep smiling."
