Stetson, Jean Mary (11/20/24-4/24/17). Jean was the wife of the late Paul Stetson. They resided in Lexington for 50 years. She is survived by her five children: Paul Richard Stetson and his wife Arlene of Marlborough, Mark Stetson and his wife Leslie of Rolling Hills, CA, Sarah Budden and her husband Victor of Poole, England, Barbara Stetson and, her husband Jerry Rafson of Fairbanks, AK, and Jim Stetson his wife Linda of Millis. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Jessie, Katie, Paul, David, Stephanie, Adam, Eric, and Wendy, and by three great grandchildren, Livia, Ezra, and Isla and many nieces and nephews. Jean, born in England, was a well known antiques dealer throughout New England. She helped operate antique shops in Concord, Essex and other locations, and exhibited at numerous antique shows and auctions throughout the state. Jean loved gardening and had a passion for English roses and many other plants in her garden. She was an avid reader, and volunteered with the Lexington Historical Society at both the Buckman Tavern and the Monroe Tavern. She has a number of donated early American silver pieces on display at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem. A Memorial Service, will be held Thursday May 4th at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road Lexington at 11 a.m. . Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation prior to the service will be from 10 to 11 am . Donations in her memory may be made to the Lexington Historical Society, P.O. Box 514, Lexington, MA 02420. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
