Obituary

Jeanette O. Cerulli

(May 28, 1927 – August 2, 2025)

Jeanette O. Cerulli, of Lexington, passed away on August 2, 2025, at  Artis Senior Living Center, at the age of 98, after living several years with dementia.

Born on May 28, 1927 in Arlington to Lillian Chiodo (and Louis Morelli), she was the stepdaughter of Vincent Chiodo.  Jeanette was the wife of the late Thomas P. Cerulli (who predeceased her on August 2, 1992), the mother of Paula Cerulli Lock (Douglas) and Gail Kallis, and was the sister of Andria Chiodo.

Jeanette graduated from Arlington High School and went on to attend Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.  After missing her home in Arlington, Jeanette returned to visit her grandmother and  began dating her sweetheart Tom, whom she met in seventh grade. They were married in 1949 and in 1950, purchased a lot of land in Lexington, built their forever home, where she lived for the next 67 years and where they raised their two daughters.  After her daughters went off to college, Jeanette worked for Dermatology Associates in Cambridge and then in Concord for several years before she retired.

Jeannette was  a Girl Scout Leader, joint President of the PTA  at Harrington School and a Religious Education instructor at St. Brigid's  Parish in Lexington. Jeanette also volunteered in the Lexington voting polls for several years.  Jeanette kept herself busy after retirement where she could be found volunteering at Symmes Hospital in the gift shoppe, which later closed and she then volunteered at the Lexington Senior Center where she worked in the gift shoppe.  Jeanette never missed an opportunity to go dancing, either ballroom or line dancing, and always enjoyed a good martini. She loved to socialize often driving her girlfriends around for lunch when she was well into her 80's, but her favorite pastime was shopping at Marshalls and TJ Maxx.

Jeanette was the grandmother to Stacey Juthe Croeber and her husband Jim, Dana Juthe and his wife Robin and Philip Kallis and his wife Amy. She was also the great grandmother to Kailyn and Ryan Croeber, Theodore and Spencer Juthe and Logan and Lillian Kallis.

Jeanette also leaves her son in law, George Kallis and was predeceased by her dear close friend and dance partner,  Richard Moscaritolo.
