Jennifer Ann Livingstone Price, 90, of Bedford and Lexington, MA, died on June 14, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Robert Price. Loving mother of sons Stephen Price of New Haven, CT, the late Colin Price, and Edmund Price of Wayland, MA. Devoted daughter of Colin and Doris Martin and sister of Rosemary Martin and David Martin, all of whom predecease her. Grandmother of Henry and Antonina Price of Wayland, MA, Ian and Ella Price of Stratham, NH, and the late Adam Price; sister-in-law of Richard Lee and aunt of Rick Lee, Barbara Stechert and Monika Lee, all of Pennsylvania.

She was born in Shanghai International Settlement, China in 1931. Her idyllic early years there with her sister Rosemary were partly overshadowed by Japan's invasion of China and her brother David's death from measles. In 1938 her father left his family and work in China to rejoin the British army, and in early 1941 she, her sister and mother evacuated to Sydney, Australia. They reunited after World War II, living in England and then Sydney. There she graduated from teacher's college and began her career at a local kindergarten. Later she taught children in Buckinghamshire, England, including boys at Thorpe House School.

In 1954, aboard ship from Australia to England, she first met Robert Price. In 1957, Bob wrote Jennifer to say he was coming to England with his parents, and all of them and her sister traveled around in an old 18-foot Rolls Royce coupe. He proposed by letter soon after he returned to the US, she accepted and they married in 1958 in Lewes, Sussex, England.

Jennifer devoted most of her life to Bob and their three sons in Lexington, MA. There she made deep friendships through The Church of Our Redeemer and explored her interests in art, music, gardening and local history. She supported her sons in their education, music and activities including Cub Scouts and marching band. Around the time of the US bicentennial she gained US citizenship. She stayed connected to friends and family abroad with extensive and beautifully written letters and loved her travels to visit with them. After Bob's death in 2008 and a few years on her own, she moved to Carleton Willard Village senior community in Bedford, MA where she loved and was loved by her caregivers and fellow residents.

We will gather later in the summer at The Church of Our Redeemer, Lexington, MA, to celebrate Jennifer's life.
