HEDISON, Joan Dorothy, 78 of Concord, formerly of Carlisle and South Orleans passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 16, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Somerville, MA on June 14, 1934, the daughter of Ira and Dorothy Price. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Haig H. Hedison, her three devoted children, son Harry Hedison and his wife Amy of Acton, MA, her daughter Leslie Hedison and Michael Jenkins of Middleburg, VA, her daughter Karen Hopwood and her husband Frederick of Hampton Falls, NH, her brother Robert Price and his wife Doris of Chelmsford, MA, and sister-in-law Cathy Price of Peoria, AZ, the wife of her deceased brother Arthur Price. In addition, she is survived by her loving grandchildren, Emily, Jessica and Elisabeth Hedison of Acton, MA, Robin Hopwood-Courville of Fort Mill, SC, and Jamie Hopwood of Carmel, IN, sisters-in-law Roxie and Marion Hedison of Arlington, MA, nieces Ann Hedison and Maureen Romanik of Woburn, MA, nephew Paul Hedison of Medford, MA and great nephew William Leone of Weymouth, MA. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road Lexington, MA on Friday Jan. 18 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 435 Central Street, Acton, MA at 1:00pm on Jan. 19. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Massachusetts Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
