THORBURN, Joan A. (Hamilton) Of Lexington, November 26, 2009. Loving wife of Warren J. Thorburn. Devoted mother of Gary W. Thorburn and his wife Patricia of Maynard, William G. Thorburn and his wife Donna of Danvers, Susan J. Robertson and her husband Blake of Billerica, and Linda J. Thorburn of Chelmsford. Sister of Sandra Gatchell of Woburn. Adoring grandmother of Jennifer, Benjamin, Kimberlee, Rebecca, Andrew, Michael, Matthew, and Alicia. Joan is also survived by two nieces, Karen and Pamela, two nephews, Craig and Scott, a cousin Marilyn, and by many others of her extended family. Her warm and generous nature will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, at the Douglass Funeral Home at 11 AM. Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 1, at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington at 4-8 PM. Interment will be at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
