Campbell, Joanne (Kasson) of Lexington, Massachusetts, age 82, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, July 24, 2017, at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Joanne was born April 27, 1935 in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts, the daughter of Ora (DuBois) Kasson and Newton A. Kasson.  She graduated from Williams High School in Stockbridge, Massachusetts and worked as a service representative for New England Telephone Company where she met her future husband Ray.  She later worked as a teacher at the Hancock Church Weekday Nursery School and as the church secretary at the Hancock United Church of Christ for head ministers Henry Clark, Verne Henderson, and Peter Meek.

Joanne was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Ray A. Campbell, Jr.  She leaves a daughter, Cheryl C. Dickson of Middletown, New Jersey, a son, Ray A. Campbell III (and wife Patricia) of Waltham, Massachusetts, a sister, Barbara Fiorini (and husband Leo) of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and grandchildren Scott, Taylor, Campbell, and PJ Dickson, and Haley and Alex Campbell.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, August 13, 2017, 1:00 p.m., at Hancock United Church of Christ, Lexington.  Calling hours will be held at the Douglass Funeral Home, Lexington, on Saturday, August 12, 2017, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers donations in Joanne's memory may be made to Hancock United Church of Christ, 1912 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA 02421 or to the West Stockbridge Congregational Church, 45 Main St, West Stockbridge, MA 01266.  Private interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
