Boggia, John A., Sr. of Lexington, a longtime Lexington resident, born June 10, 1926, died Dec. 27, 2017, age 91. Predeceased by his Mother and Father, formerly of Malden, Anthony and Josephine Boggia, and brother Edward Boggia , also formerly of Malden. He leaves his Best Friend and Wife of 70 years Dorothy Boggia (Harris), two daughters, Cheryl Boggia of Litchfield, NH, Carolyn Dooley and her husband Steven of Lexington, two sons, Robert Boggia and Merrie Kincaid of Amherst, NH, and John Boggia Jr. and his wife Debra Torres of Manchester, NH. Brother of Mildred Wells and her husband Connie of Groton. John is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Michelle Coombs, John Boggia III, Heather Lane, Daniel Boggia, Robert Boggia Jr., Nicholas Boggia, Michael Dooley, and Caitlyn Dooley, by 4 great grandchildren, Seamus, Haille, Andrew, and Sam, and by several nieces and nephews. John grew up in Malden, Graduate of Malden High School, U.S. Navy Veteran, Graduate of Dartmouth College, class of 1948, Thayer School of Engineering, class of 1949 with Masters in Engineering. Held VP position at Commodore Foods in Lowell and NECCo Cambridge Mass. John retired in 1994 and has enjoyed many years with his wife and family traveling and vacationing. John was successful in achieving great pleasure over his many years teaching and guiding those he loved. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Friday Dec. 29 at 11am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 12pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4pm to 8pm. Donations in his memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
