Driscoll, John C. of Tequesta, Fl and Scituate, MA, formerly of Lexington, MA, Arlington, MA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 30, 2009. Beloved husband of 55 years to Mary E. (Hurley) Driscoll. He is survived by his seven children; Jay Driscoll and his wife Michelle of Bedford, NH, Hank Driscoll and his wife Sue of Medford, MA, Dick Driscoll and his wife Pennie of Concord, MA, Peggy Mulhern and her husband Joe of Westwood, MA, Michael Driscoll and his wife Maryellen of Norwood, MA, Mark Driscoll and his wife Carrie of Marblehead, MA and Maureen Faherty and her husband Terence of Cohasset, MA. Loving brother of Lois White of Newton, MA and predeceased by his sisters Miriam Fairclough and Barbara Basso. John is also survived by 19 wonderful grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Graduate of New Hampton School, class of 1939, and attended The College of the Holy Cross, class of 1943. John was an avid horseman and at the age of 16 won the Good Hands Class Award at the 110th Cavalry Horse Show. WWII Veteran Marine Air Corps. Former owner of J.C. Driscoll Transportation, Inc., Charlestown, MA. Enjoyed many years vacationing with family and friends on Newfound Lake, Bristol, NH. Member of Lexington Golf Club and Riverbend Country Club, Tequesta FL. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday August 5 at St. Anthony's Church, 129 South Main St., Cohasset, Ma. at 11 AM. Visiting hours at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington, MA on Tuesday, August 4 from 4 - 8 PM.
