Larrabee and his wife Adriane of Gloucester, Stephen J. Larrabee of Panama, Joseph R. Larrabee and his wife Melody of Clermont, FL, and Richard J. Larrabee and his wife Elizabeth of Chelmsford. Stepfather of Alan T. "Charlie" Johnson and his wife Jennifer of Philadelphia, PA, Richard B. Johnson and his wife Alexis Feringa of Glen Echo, MD, Wendy Johnson, MD and her husband John Frangioni, MD, of Weston. Devoted brother of Constance Larrabee of Sandwich. John was proud of his roots in South Boston and the Old Harbor Village. He attended Boston Latin High School, and earned B.S. and Masters degrees in Physics from Northeastern University. After finishing his Masters, he worked as a Physicist at MIT Lincoln Labs. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He and his beloved wife, Jean, enjoyed an active lifestyle traveling, playing tennis and swimming together. He is remembered fondly for coaching his children's many sports teams and enjoying all his grandchildren's sporting events. He was a famously devoted fan of Boston sports teams, but his favorite role was being a grandfather. He treasured time with his grandchildren, never failing to cheer them on in all their endeavors.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday December 8th at Westview Cemetery, 520 Bedford St. in Lexington at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
