Maloney. John "Jack" of Lexington and Barnstable Village, born May 5, 1940. Son of the late William E, Maloney and Margaret A. Ball, passed away at the age of 81 surrounded by his loving family. His wife of 54 years Kathleen P. McAuliffe, his children Sean P and his wife April along with three grandchildren, Jack Norman, Duncan Patrick, and Sadie May all of Lexington. His daughter Shannon DeGuglielmo and her husband Charlie of Bedford. His son Scott W, and his wife Cheryl and grandchildren Kayah Irene and Noah John of Bedford. His sister-in-law Diane Maloney and his only brother William E (Bill) Maloney died in 2008, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Jack graduated from North Cambridge Catholic High School and Chamberlayne Jr. College. He spent three years in the United States Army (E-5) and was stationed in Indiana, Seoul Korea, and Augusta Georgia. He started working with his father William E Maloney and was later the owner and Treasurer of Arlex Oil Corporation of Lexington, C&W Transportation of Lexington and Interstate Gas and Oil Corporation of Sudbury. He was very active in Rotary International. As President of the Lexington Rotary Club 1975-1976, as District Governor (1980-1981) of district 7930. Jack was a multiple Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. He belonged to the Lexington Chamber of Commerce. He was also a Town Meeting member for many years and was appointed to many committees in Lexington. Jack was the former President and Chairman on the board of Depositors Trust Company in Medford and Lexington.

Jack was also the recipient of the Lexington Lion's Club White Tricorne Hat in 2003 for his outstanding contributions to the Town of Lexington. He also served on the Boards of North Cambridge Catholic in North Cambridge as well as Cristo Rey High School. For many years he served on the board of the Josiah Willard Hayden Recreation Center in Lexington, serving as Treasurer for 10 plus years. Jack was also a major stockholder of Patriot Community Bank in Woburn.

A funeral mass will be held on April 30 ^th , 2022, at 10 am at St. Brigid Church, 1981 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington. Following the Mass, friends are invited to join the family for a reception at the Winchester Country Club, 468 Mystic St. in Winchester. Interment will be private at Westview Cemetery in Lexington at a later date.
