Joseph P. Bisognano Sr. passed away peacefully on April 15th after a short illness. He was 97 years old.
He grew up in Boston with immigrant parents Giuseppe and Rita Bisognano and 4 brothers and sisters.
He married Theresa (Napoli) in 1946 and moved to Lexington, MA where he lived for almost 50 years.
Theresa passed away in November, 1996. In 2007, he moved to the Concord Health Care Nursing Center
in Concord, MA. For 44 years, he worked for Stop & Shop supermarkets in Cambridge, Waltham and
Lexington, MA. He is survived by two sons, Joseph Jr. and his wife, Doreen of Acton, MA and Frank and
his wife, Marjorie of North Reading, MA; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jean, Jill, Jay, Mark and Paul; 3 great
grandchildren, Sophia, Reese and Charlie; sisters Phyllis and Helen and brother Frank. A funeral mass is
scheduled for Thursday 10:00 am, April 19th at St. Brigid Church, 2001 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington, MA. A
visitation period will precede the mass from 8:30-9:45 AM at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen
Rd., Lexington, MA. His family would like to thank the entire staff of the Concord Health Care facility for
the excellent and professional care they provided while he was a resident. In lieu of flowers, please
