Ascolese and his wife Sarah of Saugus, James J. Ascolese of Woburn, Joanne M. Luff and her husband Joel of Las Vegas, NV, and Janet M. Ascolese of Lexington. Devoted brother of Michael Ascolese of Lexington, Carmen Pettiglio of Virginia, the late Rosemarie Aguiar, and the late Audrey O'Neil. Joe is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Joseph, Sophia, Lilyana, Donna Marie, Meghan, Nicole, and Pauline, by 3 great grandchildren, Anthony, Domenic, and Giuliana, and by many nieces and nephews. U.S. Army Veteran. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Tuesday October 3 at 9am  followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday from 4pm to 8pm.
