TRANI, Joseph A. Jr. Of Westford, formerly of Lexington, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family, June 17, 2012. Husband of Rosemary A. (DiSavato) Trani. Father of Maureen DeFelice and her husband Ralph of Wells, ME, Gail DeFrino and her husband Anthony of Auburn, Susan Bez and her husband Eckhard of Bolton, and Joseph "Jay" Paul Trani of Westford. Brother of the late June Hyssong. Grandfather of Scott, Brian, Joel, Joshua, and Megan DeFelice, Molly Talevi, Carrie Woodcock, Beth Kuo, the late Jeffrey DeFrino, Adam Pieroni, Justin Pieroni, and Nicholas, Danielle, and Zachary Trani. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. Joseph attended the University of Notre Dame before entering the Army Air Corps. He owned and managed Joseph Trani Inc. of Lexington Center for over 35 years. After retiring he went into partnership owning and managing 1775 Realty Trust along with his own commercial property until his illness 5 years ago. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, June 20 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON, 4pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Funeral Mass private.
