Bradley, Josephine B. (Aufiero) - June 24, 1938

Of Medford, on May 22, 2021 Josephine left to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved wife of 61 years to Robert and devoted mother to her three children Laura (Scott) Menario of Salem, NH, Robert (Eileen) Bradley of Tewksbury, MA, and Thomas of Westborough, MA. She was the loving Nonna to her nine grandchildren: Jennifer (Walisson) Andrade, Gina (Steven) Shuleski, Nicholas (Leanne) Bradley, Emily (Daniel) Ametrano, Keith (Kara) Bradley, Kylie Bradley, Jameson Bradley, Madelyn Bradley, and Maclaren Bradley. She adored her three great-grandchildren: Julianna and Gabriella Andrade, and namesake Josephine Shuleski, and was adored in return by everyone who met her. She's also survived by sister Carolyn Miele and the wonderful Miele family.

A graduate of  Cambridge Rindge  High School in 1955, Josie retired after 40 years with the New England Telephone Company.

A longtime member of Grace Chapel (Lexington, MA), she volunteered many Sundays teaching Sunday School or greeting congregants as part of the hospitality team.

The most energetic person in the room, she made us laugh more than "I Love Lucy" - her favorite show of all time, and was always the first one to suggest we play a game.

She enjoyed spending long summer days at any beach, but especially loved Cape Cod. Her "Cape Cozy" cottage is filled with many "Lucy-like" memories, and her own beautiful artwork and sketches. She was a very talented painter and crafter.

While her earthly journey is over, we faithfully believe she's now reunited with her parents Joseph and Jean (Palmacci) Aufiero, beloved uncles and cousins, dear friends, brother-in-law Joseph Miele, and her best friend of all, Jesus.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday May 27 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington from 4pm to 7pm. A Memorial Service will be celebrated Sunday May 30 at Grace Chapel Wilmington, 128 West St. in Wilmington at 4pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Private interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Donations in her memory may be made to New Life Ministries in Manchester, NH or to the American Cancer Society.
