Obituary

Katherine M. Pasquariello

Katherine M. Pasquariello passed away peacefully in Reading, Massachusetts, on Friday, March 20, at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Katherine was born on November 21, 1940, in Milan, Italy, to Luigi and Anna Vena. She immigrated to the United States with her family in 1941, settling in Boston, where she spent her early years and developed a lifelong love of nature, writing and music.

She attended Boston College, where she studied early childhood education, and began her career as a teacher. She later met and married Davis Pasquariello in 1969. Together they made their home in Lexington, Massachusetts, where they raised their three children: Karen (born 1971), Davis (born 1974), and Christine (born 1976).

Kathy devoted many years to raising her family and created a warm and welcoming home filled with music and tradition. She loved playing the piano and was known for her delicious Italian cooking, which brought family and friends together around the table.

In later years, she generously gave her time as a volunteer at Mount Auburn Hospital and with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), reflecting her deep compassion for others.

Kathy was an active member of Grace Chapel in Lexington, as well as Revive Community Church in Burlington, where she especially loved the vibrant sense of community and long-lasting friendships she formed there. She will be remembered for her laugh, kind spirit, and unwavering generosity.

Kathy is survived by her three children: Karen Pasquariello of Cape Cod, Davis Pasquariello of Holliston, and Christine Elise of West Newbury; her daughter-in-law, Kristy Pasquariello; her beloved grandchildren, Mariano Fontana, Leo Pasquariello, and Lucia Pasquariello; her brother, Paul Vena; and her sister-in-law, Rosemary Vena.

She was predeceased by her husband, Davis Pasquariello.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 11, at Grace Chapel in Lexington. Visiting hours will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service in the Sanctuary room at 3:00pm.
