"Fon Jin"

A longtime resident of Lexington, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023 at the age of 94. Survived by loving wife, Lucy.  Married for almost 70 years, they built a successful life of happiness and family.

Loving father to Curtis and his wife, Betty of Lexington, Dana and his wife, Martha of Lexington, Sandy and her husband Stuart Woodward of Lexington, and Keith and his wife, Hilda of Winchester.  Adoring and proud grandfather to David, Jeremy, Lucy, Jack, Melissa, Nicholas, Kristen, Chrissy, Jeffrey, Bryan, Samantha, Julia, and Eric.  Great-grandfather to 11 super-cute youngsters.

Larry immigrated from China as a child and landed in Cambridge, MA.  He graduated from the Rindge Technical School and later continued his studies at M.I.T.  A mechanical engineer by trade, he was a founder of Mill Lane Engineering, Co. in 1957 and spent a 50 year career as President and head of design.  His company was instrumental in the success of the Hubble Space Telescope as they provided the custom equipment to coat the primary lens of the telescope.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd, Lexington, MA 02421, on March 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM.  Visiting hours will precede the service from 9:30 - 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Larry's name to either Deaconess Abundant Life Services or Rivercrest Wellness and Rehab at https://www.nedeaconess.org/giving-payment/donation.htm .
