peacefully on June 26, 2024 surrounded by family at the Bedford VA Center. Lester is survived
by his loving wife Regina E. Conley of Acton, his brother Dr. Alan and his wife Lacey of Naples,
FL, his children, Daniel and his wife Jayne of Bedford, Lester III and his wife Monica of
Chelmsford, Debra and her husband Mark of Westford, and Lisa and her husband Greg of
Lexington. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Kelsey, Timothy, Sarah,
Brendan, Ally, and Jessie, and by one great grandson, David.
Lester was a proud ex marine and lifelong educator. He received college degrees from Salem
State University (B.S. Ed), and Boston University (M. Ed and Ed.D), and served as a teacher
and principal at many schools throughout New England. He also taught overseas in Japan and
Taiwan. Lester continued his role as an educator when he became a civilian staff member in the
U.S. Intelligence School at Fort Devens where he held multiple positions in various divisions.
An avid collector of clocks, Lester transformed his hobby into a small business buying and
selling clocks worldwide. He enjoyed traveling with family and for his job with the military, but
perhaps his greatest joy was spending time at his cottage in Maine with family, friends and his
many beloved dogs.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd, at St. Brigid Church, 1981 Mass. Ave.,
Lexington at 11am. Visitation at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington,
Tuesday, immediately prior to the Mass, from 10-11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
