Stevens, Linda M. of Cambridge, Age 67, passed away on Tuesday, August 29.

Linda and her sardonic self was a mixture of empathy, kindness and humor. She loved her cats, Lily and Finn, her crosswords, and her thrift stores in Maine. She had a soft spot in her heart for the poached eggs at Andy's Diner. Joe's annual family reunion and crab fest in Baltimore was a high point of the summer. The Stevens' family trips, from watching mountain goats scampering up the hills in Alaska to seeing the efflorescence under the kayaks in Puerto Rico, were special. She was notable for her cutting edge Irish wit. The Ouija board and the macabre fascinated her and she was an avid believer in the afterlife. Beloved wife of Joseph Artley of Cambridge. Daughter of the late George Stevens and Lois (Moran) Stevens. Stepdaughter of Dolores Stevens. Sister of Andrew Stevens and his wife Anne, the late Charles Stevens, and Elizabeth (Stevens) Kempey and her husband William. Sister-in-law to Dan and Barbara Artley. Also survived by her nephews Aubrey, Carson, Billy and Jamie, and her niece Julianna, her many cousins, and numerous friends and neighbors. Calling hours on Tuesday, September 5 from 4-7 PM at Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, MA. Memorial Service on Wednesday, September 6, 11 AM at Douglass Funeral Home followed by interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington, MA.
